Winter Season Paragraph: 150 words

Winter comes after the dewy Autumn. It is pleasant in the plains and the plateau of India. But is harsh in the Himalayas. Good days depart quickly. The cold winter is pleasing to us. But it is short-lived. It actually comes in late November and leaves us in early February. It’s almost springtime in the plains of India. The north wind blows. There’s a slight chill in the air. But the mornings and the nights are pretty cold. We like this. The soft sunshine and seasonal flowers gladden us. Markets are flooded with fresh vegetables. Crops grow ripe. Farmers smile. There’s a new life in villages. We enjoy picnics, fairs and festivals. Christmas and the Saraswati puja give us joy. But winter pains the poor. Flowers don’t bloom, and festivals don’t come for them. The lovely spring soon comes to relieve their distress.
