Please allow me to focus through the columns of your esteemed daily on the inconvenience created by the thoughtless use of loudspeakers.
Nowadays, the indiscriminate use of loudspeakers has become a torture to public life. When mikes blare out nothing but cheap film songs round the clock, it becomes a nuisance. It disturbs the students and patients in the neighbourhood. It is a serious source of sound pollution. Of late, the Calcutta High Court has issued an order restricting the use of loudspeakers.
I think the police should take necessary steps to stop such careless use of loudspeakers. Moreover, a strong public opinion should be created through your editorial note.

Sir,
I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards the disturbance caused by the thoughtless use of loudspeakers during the festivals.
The use of microphones has become an inseparable part of our festivals, religious or otherwise. It causes great disturbance to all classes of people. It rudely violates our right to live in peace. It disturbs the study of the students who cannot prepare their lessons in peace. It also disturbs the peace of those who are ill. The blaring loudspeakers tell upon our nerves and mental stability and impaired hearing.
The government should take appropriate steps in this regard immediately to save the people from this.

Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily, I would like to draw your kind attention to the hazards caused by the thoughtless use of loudspeaker in our locality.
It is a common practice to use loudspeakers in festivals and in ceremonies. People are using this nowadays recklessly. They don’t care about the people near them. People are competing among them about the volume of sound. The students and the older people are the worst sufferers. The students can not concentrate on their studies. Older people suffered from mental instability and heart problems due to the use of loudspeakers.
So through the columns of your daily, I want to raise my voice. People must be aware of the nuisance of loudspeakers. The authorities must take appropriate measures to restrict the use of loudspeakers.
