Ma Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge and learning. She is worshipped in almost every school in West Bengal. Everything of the Saraswati Puja is arranged by the students of the school. At first, a general meeting about the puja is held in the school and a puja committee is formed among the students. Then everything about the programme is settled. The subscription rate for every student is finalised. Later subscription is collected from the students. After that shopping and decoration are done. Then the image of the goddess Saraswati is bought. All the students worshipped with devotion. Next Prasad is distributed among the students. The image is immersed in water on the next day.
