Lucy Maud Montgomery

Lucy Maud Montgomery was a Canadian novelist. She began writing at the age of nine. She had gained popularity among readers of all ages. ‘On Cape Le Force’, a poem was her first publication. She wrote her most famous novel ‘Anne of Green Gables’ in 1905. She was rejected again and again by the publishers. Finally, it was published in 1908.

Life of Lucy Maud Montgomery

Lucy Maud Montgomery was born in 1874. She lost her mother at an early age. Montgomery was married to Reverend Eman Macdonald in 1911. She had three children and one of them died as an infant. She died in 1942 and was buried in the Cavendish cemetery on Prince Edward Island.
